Donna touched so many people in various circles.  For me, she was an available friend and companion.  She was easy to be with, sharing a nice meal, a glass of wine, movie, art exhibit, music event, fire-pit gathering, bowl of popcorn, great cheese, gardening, travel talk and books.  I feel so fortunate to have had good times and conversations in her presence.   She will continue to influence me.

Donna was so excited when she first met Garnet Hughes.  They were both interested in art.  Because of this new kindred spirit, she declined my suggestion that she and I get together for some  event or other.  As usual Donna had read the situation correctly.  Pretty soon they were planning their beautiful wedding ceremony with joy, good taste and integrity.

To Kenan, Sandra, Isabella and Scott: Donna loved you all so much and was so proud of the people you are. Thank you for helping her as she transitioned to a new life.  Your mother/grandmother brought so much humor and grace to our community. She was a model for all of us in how to do the difficult tasks at the end of our lives.
