She was born in Greensboro, February 18, 1922 to the late Will and Viola McPherson. She was preceded in death by her son, Jimmy Ledbetter; twin sister, Dorothy Cheek; brothers, J.W. McPherson and Clyde McPherson; and two infant granddaughters.
She is survived by sons, Billy (Audrey), Ronnie (Diane) and Jesse (Pat); grandchildren, Wendy Routh (Lynn), Jackie Ward (Barry), Rhonda Fender (David), Danny Ledbetter (Leslie), Logan Ledbetter and Hunter Ledbetter; and seven great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon Thursday, March 8, 2012 at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel, officiated by Rev. Travis Brock. Burial will follow in Guilford Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until 12:00 noon prior to the service.
