

A funeral service celebrating her life will be held at 12:00 pm on Monday, February 21, 2022 at Hanes-Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel in Greensboro. Dottie will be laid to rest in Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral at the funeral home from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm.
Dottie was born in Monmouth, NJ on August 8, 1917 to the late Al and Sarah Mancini. She was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed singing in the choir. Dottie was a very easy going lady who never met a stranger. She worked for Belk for over 30 years and made life-long friends while working there. Dottie loved shopping, going out to eat with friends, and back in the day was quite the dancer. She enjoyed reading and often walked to the library to check out books. Dottie had a passion for American History and on her 102nd birthday she recited The Gettysburg Address from memory. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who was loved be many and will be missed by all who knew her.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Kenneth Brown (Carolyn) of Greensboro, Alfred Brown of Pleasant Garden and Donald Brown (Janet) of Easton, PA; brother, Jimmy Mancini (June) of New Jersey; 4 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.
