

A memorial service will be held Saturday, 2:00 p.m. at the Well Spring Richardson Auditorium by Rev. John Akers. A private committal service will be held at St. Francis Episcopal Church Columbarium, prior to the service.
Lib was born May 22, 1916 in Durham, the daughter of Samuel Oscar Riley and Mary Elizabeth Covington Riley, and step-mother Pearl Beavers Riley.
In addition to her parents, Lib was preceded in death by her husband’s, James Heilig and Edmund Morrison, and her sister in law, Ruth Morrison.
Surviving are her cousins, Margaret Lawrence and Betty Lawrence Huckabee of Durham and Mary Ann Lawrence Austin of Greenville, SC.; step cousins, Howard Raymond Weeks, Jr. and wife Ginger and Patricia Weeks Johnson, all of Charlotte, and Margaret Weeks Redcay of Lubbock, TX; nephews, James Armfield and Claude Heath Armfield, Jr., both of Marietta, GA.
Mrs. Morrison grew up in Durham where she attended public schools and was a graduate of Duke University where she received her master’s degree in education. She taught in the Greensboro Public Schools for 28 years, retiring in 1973. Lib was a member of St. Francis Episcopal Church, where she served on the Altar Guild for 30 years. Other activities include membership in the Euterpe Club, Greensboro Opera Association, Opera Companions, The Forum, Musical Arts Guild, English Speaking Union, Piedmont Bird Club, Greensboro Historical Museum and Guild, and Mobile Meals.
Friends will be received following the service at Well Spring.
