

Eston “Billie” Snead, 88, of Greensboro received her call to come home Friday, November 29, 2013.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, 1:00 p.m., at Andrews Memorial Baptist Church with Pastor Mark Gaffney and Rev. Lloyd Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Billie was born May 19, 1925 in Purley, Caswell Co. VA, the daughter of Eston Floyd Crider and Minnie Virginia Wilkins Crider.
Billie was an outstanding mother and grandmother who loved all. She never met a stranger who she could not talk to. She served her Lord and Savior faithfully as a charter member of Andrews Memorial Baptist Church since 1956. Billie retired from Cone Mills White Oak Division Finishing Department.
In addition to her parents, Billie was preceded in death by her husband, Henry “Bootie” Snead, four brothers and three sisters.
Surviving are her sons, Tommy W. Snead (Teressa) of McLeansville, Douglas H. Snead (Sue) of Greensboro and David L. Snead (Terry) of Bolivia; daughter, Faye S. Murphy (Russell) of Gibsonville; nine grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
Friends will be received Monday, 6:00-9:00 p.m., at Hanes-Lineberry N. Elm Chapel and other times at her home, 2017 Scott Road, Browns Summit.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to: Andrews Memorial Baptist Church, 2811 Lees Chapel Road, Browns Summit, NC 27214 or to Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro, 2500 Summit Ave., Greensboro, NC 27405.
