A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at 1:00 pm at Hanes-Lineberry N. Elm St. Chapel in Greensboro. The family will receive friends immediately follow the memorial celebration.
Born on April 13, 1942 in Rimini, SC to the late Ransom and Clara McKnight, Fannie attended Love and Faith Christian Fellowship in Greensboro. She worked for General Electric for a number of years, was an avid gardener, loved to cook and most of all enjoyed spending time with her family. Fannie was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Tyrone McKnight; a sister, Doretha McKnight; and her brother, Ransom McKnight.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving daughter, Terri McKnight; her precious granddaughter, Leah McKnight; sisters, Helen Lewis and her husband, William, Gardenia Craig, and Clara Davis; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.
