Frances Hedgecock Hedgecock Canter

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, August 3, 2012, at Bethlehem United Methodist Church in Climax, with the Rev. Chuck Hutchens officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.

Frances was born in Randolph County, to the late Charlie and Anna Hedgecock and was a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church. She was the oldest child of ten children and was the only girl. Frances was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister who loved nothing more than spending time with her friends and family. She loved to shop and was quite the movie buff. She was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew her. In addition to her parents, Frances was preceded in death by her loving husband of 39 years, Jake Canter and five brothers, Lynn, Ronnie, Faron, Harold, and Clinton.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Donna Coltrane of Sophia; son, Jody Canter and his wife Debi of Forest, VA; grandchildren, Meghan and Matthew Canter; her four remaining Hedgecock brothers, David, Bobby (Vickie), Horace (JoAnn), and Dan (Joy); and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Thursday evening August, 2, 2012, at Hanes-Lineberry Vanstory Chapel.
