

A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at Hanes-Lineberry Vanstory Chapel with Pastor Dennis Pulliam officiating. Entombment will follow at Westminster Gardens Cemetery Mausoleum.
Born February 16, 1927 to the late Henry and Bessie Medlin Hancock, in Monroe, NC, Frances was a long-time member of Christ United Chapel. Music was a very important part of her life. She was the church pianist for many years. Frances worked for Pilot Life Insurance Company. She enjoyed gardening and making crafts, especially Christmas ornaments. Frances enjoyed the simple things in life and her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew her. In addition to her parents, Frances was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Homer Walker Nash; and all of her siblings.
Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Kenneth Walker Nash and wife Janice, William ”Bill” Ray Nash and wife Betty, and Gary L. Nash and wife Judy; grandchildren, Beverly Dale, Greg Nash, Jeanie Fulp, Jason Nash, Natasha Nash, and Mike Nash; step-grandchildren, April Phillips, Amy Johnson, Stacie Hazelwood, and Shannon Patterson; great-grandchildren, Abbie, Benjamin, Carli, and Justin; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 pm tonight at the funeral home.
With much appreciation, the entire family would like to thank the loving care Frances received from Shannon Patterson and Frances’s best friend, Jackie Raines and to the wonderful staff at Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro for their nurturing care and compassion.
