

A graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 25, 2013 at Westminster Gardens.
Mr. Gunn was a member of First Baptist Church.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served on the U.S.S. Enterprise Torpedo Squadron 10 during World War II. He was retired from Western Electric with over 30 years of service and a member of the Pioneers of America. Mr. Gunn loved quilting and cooking, canning and cake baking and enjoyed picking up produce for his family and friends at local farms. Mr. Gunn was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Bradley Gunn and their son, Frank Edward Gunn, Jr.
Mr. Gunn is survived by his daughters, Margaret Raines (John) of Greensboro, Maureen Williams (David) of Richmond, VA, sister, Dorothy Walker of Greensboro, sister-in-law, Lou Jolly (John) of Browns Summit, grandchildren; Janice Greer (Robbie), Jared Gunn, Meganne Gould (Jason), Evan Raines, Maura Roberts (Patrick), Lynne Hodge (Will), Alyson Williams, Sarah Gunn and Will Gunn and 12 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday at Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home N. Elm St.
