Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 13, 2024 at Hanes-Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel, 6000 West Gate City Blvd., Greensboro, NC 27407. She will be laid to rest in Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery immediately following the funeral. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral from 10:00 until service time at the funeral home.
Born October 18, 1935 in McDowell County, West Virginia to the late John Joseph Porterfield and Eva Ball Porterfield, Geneva was of the Christian faith. She retired from the Greensboro Police Department after over 20 years of employment. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Darrell Wills.
Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, John David Porterfield, (Gloria), Roger Wills, (Judi) and Ricky Wills, (Barbara); daughter-in-law, Glenda Wills; 13 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; and 5 great great-grandchildren.
