Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, 2:00 pm at Hickory Grove United Methodist Church with Dr. Boyd Holliday officiating. Burial will follow at Guilford Memorial Park.
Gertrude was born on Feb. 14, 1914, the daughter of Jesse A. and Ella Frederick Gardner. She was a member of Hickory Grove United Methodist Church for over 70 years and was a member of the church choir. She loved to crochet, take care of children, being outside working in her yard or gardening. She was also a very generous person.
Gertrude was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Jones. Surviving are her sister, Lucy Bryant of Winston Salem, NC; sister-in-law, Zula Gardner of Jamestown, NC; nephew, Steve Ratcliffe and wife Nancy of Liberty, NC and numerous other nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services on Tuesday at the church.
