Glenn William Flaherty

It is with deep sorrow we announce Glenn William Flaherty passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, November 7, 2024 at the age of 57. He was born on August 5, 1967 in Bristol, Connecticut and attended Worcester Polytechnic where he earned degrees in Electrical Engineering and Philosophy.

Glenn was the founder, owner, and president of ERD, Ltd, Inc, an industrial electronic service company, which has been in business providing needed services nationally and internationally for 29 years from its headquarters in Kernersville, NC. ERD, under Glenn's leadership won awards for international business development. A tireless entrepreneur, he simultaneously led four additional companies: Bytor Business Center, Flaherty Properties, ERD Powertrain and Magnify ERP.

Glenn will be remembered not only for his curiosity, intellect, sense of humor, and bigger than life personality, but also for his generous heart and can-do spirit. Those fortunate enough to know Glenn will remember him for a long time.

He is survived by his wife Allison, children Sarah, Nevan, Emily and Ailish of Greensboro, his parents, Bill and Hope Flaherty of Greensboro, a sister, Aimee Henning and husband David of Walkertown, a brother, Brett Flaherty of Connecticut and nieces, Briana and Kaleigh Flaherty of Connecticut, Sophia Henning of Walkertown and nephews Jacob Flaherty of Connecticut and Nicholas Henning of Walkertown.

Per Glenn’s wishes, there will not be a funeral service; however, he will lie in state from 3–5pm for visitation by those who knew him, Saturday, November 16, at Hanes Lineberry North Elm Chapel, 515 North Elm Street, Greensboro.
