Greta Lucas Stone

A memorial service will be held Monday, 12:00 p.m., at Chandlers Grove United Methodist Church in Badin Lake. A graveside service will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Westminster Gardens.

Greta was born December 12, 1935 in Robbins, the daughter of Neal Barnwell Lucas and Radie Hussey Lucas.

Greta was a member of Chandlers Grove United Methodist Church at Badin Lake where she was active in the choir and was a Sunday school teacher. She was very involved with the Chandlers Grove Women’s Fellowship where her passion was bringing fellowship and care to her church family in the community. She retired from BB&T and enjoyed cooking and reading. Most of all Greta enjoyed spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, Greta was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Stone, and her brothers, Willis and Kenneth Lucas.

Surviving are her daughter, Debbie Quade and husband Michael of Locust Hill, VA; sons, Steve Dillard and wife Karen of Floyd, VA and Mark Dillard and wife Teresa of Badin Lake; brother David Lucas and wife Pat of High Point; sister-in-law, Annie Lucas of Kannapolis; five grandchildren, three great grandchildren and all of her loving church family.

Friends will be received Sunday, 6:00-8:00 p.m., at Hanes-Lineberry N. Elm Chapel.
