Hazel Frances Wyrick

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 3, at Lakeview Memorial Park, 3600 North O’Henry Boulevard with Pastor Randy Pearman officiating.

Hazel was born June 1, 1928, in Guilford County, NC, daughter of the late John and Mattie Overbey. She was a graduate of McLeansville High School, attended Emmanuel Wesleyan Church and for over 30 years she worked for Sears Mail order. She enjoyed cooking and sewing.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wyrick was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Wyrick and her brothers, Richard, Bob and Bill Overbey. She is survived by her daughter, Teresa W. Hinshaw and husband, Kenneth; son, Mike Wyrick both of Greensboro; grandson, Jason Hinshaw; step-grandchild, Emily Carapella; step-great grandchildren, Nicholas and William Carapella and sister, Mildred Allred. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Hazel’s memory to Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro, 2500 Summit Avenue, Greensboro, NC 27405.
