Herbert John Causey

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at Forest Lawn Cemetery on Forest Lawn Drive, Greensboro, NC 27455 with Rev. Chris Morris officiating. The family visitation will be held on Monday, September 14, 2015 at Hanes Lineberry North Elm Chapel, 515 N. Elm Street, Greensboro, NC 27401 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Herbert was born in Greensboro to the late Hartley Dodge and Dorothy Fox Causey, Sr. He worked in sales at Ferguson Enterprises, Inc. for ten years. He was a member of Masonic Lodge Guilford #656 Lodge A.F. and A.M.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Herbert is survived by his wife, Delois “Dee” Thomas Causey; daughter, Jennifer Causey Johnson and husband Matthew of Greensboro; brothers, Hartley Dodge Causey, Jr. and wife Linda of Atlanta, GA, Thomas Anderson Causey and wife Ruth of Athens, AL, Charles W. Causey of Greensboro; sister, Anna Elizabeth O’Ruairi and husband Blake of Atlanta, GA; father and mother-in-law J.D. and Hallie Thomas; brother-in-law, Tommy Thomas; nieces, Suzanne Howard and Kimberly Coenan; and nephew Christopher Causey.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro, 2500 Summit Avenue Greensboro, NC 27405 or to Beacon Place, 2502 Summit Avenue Greensboro, NC 27405 in memory of Herbert John Causey.
