Mrs. Jacqueline Davis Shelton

A funeral service will be held Thursday, 1:00 p.m., at Hanes-Lineberry N. Elm Chapel. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park.

Jackie was born November 14, 1929 in High Point, the daughter of Marvin Phillip Davis and Viola Jane Ledwell Davis.

Our mom was a very caring person who always had a kind word for everyone. She was loved by all who knew her. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and dancing.

In addition to her parents, Jackie was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Richard Shelton.

Surviving are her daughters, Jackie Waye and husband Oggie of Greensboro, LuAnn Grundman and husband Robert of Brown Summit, Paula Kivette and husband Barry of Greensboro, Penne Niemeyer of Wilmington; grandchildren, Elizabeth Limbaker and husband Skip, Joshua and Jessica Grundman, Aaron Kivette and wife Kelly, Jason Kivette and wife Kristin, Justin Kivette and wife LeeAnn, Cody Kivette and wife Sheena and Adam Kivette; seven great grandchildren; close friends, Phyllis Hooks, Elsie Turner and all the McDonalds Coffee Buddies.

Friends will be received Wednesday, 6:00-8:00 p.m., at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
