Janan Adkins Carr, age 88, of Ider, Alabama passed away on Monday, July 8, 2024.
Janan was a graduate of the Alabama School for the Blind and attended the University of Montevallo.
She was a wonderful mother who was always there when we needed her the most, offering support, wisdom, and love in abundance. A friend too many, she was a cherished member of the community in Alabama, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and strength. She was preceded in death by her son, David Carr; parents Warner and Elda Adkins; sisters Catherine, Viola, Peggy, and Ethel; brothers John, Smith, Wilbert, Lloyd, and James.
She leaves behind her daughter, Stacey Grammer; son-in-law Ken Grammer; grandchildren Geoffrey, Michael, and Sarah; sisters Karen Russell and Sharon Jones; countless friends who felt her warmth and generosity.
