Jane Davis Lambert was born on May 5, 1927 and died on January 16, 2017. She was the sole child of Colonel Claude Witherspoon Davis and Adelaide Jones Davis. Her husband of sixty six years, William Alan Lambert of Greensboro predeceased her.
She is survived by son, Stephen Alan Lambert and his wife June L. Basden; daughter, Sarah Lambert Benson and her husband Rodney Starr Benson.
Jane was a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, then known as Woman’s College and was a homemaker.
She volunteered her time at church, the Greensboro Historical Museum and Meals on Wheels. She was recognized by the President of the United States for her volunteerism.
The family will celebrate her life at a graveside service.
