Jeannette "Jannie" Frazier

Jannie was born in Lincolnton, North Carolina on October 23, 1927, the daughter of the late Mary Dellinger and Victor Norman Fair. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Cyrus Clifford Frazier, Jr., the love of her life; her parents; and her brother Lt. (j.g.) Victor Norman Fair, Jr.

Jannie was involved in many organizations over the years which brought her much happiness and a deeper connection to the community she loved. Her service as an elder of the First Presbyterian Church was her highest honor.

Jannie is survived by her daughters: Fair Frazier Whitley and husband Carter, of Charlotte; Laurie Frazier Sizemore and husband Trip, of Greensboro; Jan Frazier Hamblin and husband Mark, of Washington, NC and Christie Frazier Shell and husband Jeff, of Greensboro.

She is also survived by her twelve grandchildren: Edwin Carter Whitley, Jr.; Cyrus Frazier Whitley; Frazier Sizemore Buck and husband Kenneth; Anna Laura Sizemore; Frank Julian Sizemore IV and wife Eva; Janie Sizemore Johnson and husband Wesley; Mary Grace Sizemore; Mark Crosbie Hamblin, Jr; Christian Armstrong Hamblin; James Chalker Hamblin; Jeffrey Stanford Shell; and Rebecca Armstrong Shell. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren, all of whom she dearly cherished.

The family would also like to express gratitude and appreciation to the exceptional and compassionate caregivers at Griswold Home Care, Cone Health, and Beacon Place.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, February 14th at Green Hill Cemetery, 901 Wharton Street, Greensboro.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church, 117 North Elm Street, Greensboro, NC 27401, or the charity of the donor’s choice.
