Jo Ann Lane

She was born on October 11, 1932 in Caswell County, NC, the daughter of Clifton and Addie Scarboro Surratt. She worked with her husband in the family business. Jo Ann was an avid long time cyclist, competing in the NC Senior Games as a Champion. She was of the Baptist faith. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She will be deeply missed.

Jo Ann is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, George “Bill” Lane of the home; son Scott Lane and wife Vivian of Greensboro, NC; grandchildren, Brandon Lane of Tallahassee, FL and Lindsay Lane of Greensboro, NC; great grandchild, Sydney Lane; brother, James Surratt and wife Peggy; sisters, Ann Landreth and husband Watson, Glenda Handy and husband Davis, and brother, Mike Surratt and wife Laurie.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, 2:00 p.m. at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel with Pastor Bruce Williams officiating. Entombment will follow at Guilford Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel.

The family wishes to express their deep appreciation to Wanda Keith and Jan LeClair for the loving care given to Jo Ann by her caretakers.
