Mrs. Kathy Griffin Tucker

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am Monday, June 17, 2013, at Pine Hill Cemetery in Burlington, NC, with her father, Rev. Julian Griffin officiating.

Born September 29, 1960, in Danville, VA, Kathy was of the Baptist faith. After high school she studied interior design. She had a gift of making any house into a home. Kathy was a great cook and enjoyed taking meals to neighbors and friends. Her greatest joy came from helping others. She never met a stranger and was a great conversationalist. Kathy’s greatest accomplishment in life was her three beautiful, intelligent, and caring daughters. She enjoyed the simple things in life, was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew her. Kathy was preceded in death by her mother, Rebecca Bailey Griffin.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of twenty years, Bill Tucker of the home; daughters, Hope, Holly, and Julie Tucker; father, Rev. Julian Griffin and step-mother, Betty of Burlington; sisters, Patti Hope and husband Frank of Burlington and Becky Jones and husband Steve of Danville, VA; brother, David Griffin of Burlington; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family will receive friends at the home on Sunday afternoon beginning at 4:00 pm.
