

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home, Sedgefield Chapel on Saturday, February 2nd, 2013. Mr. Price will lie in state in the chapel on Saturday from 12:00 until 2:00 for friends and family to pay their respects. The service will begin at 2:00 with Pastor Bob Voorhees and Pastor Bob Cable officiating.
Mr. Price was born in Monroe, NC on April 3rd, 1934 to Ambrose June Price and Parry Adeline Price. He was preceded in death by brothers Theron, Theodore, Willard and Napoleon and sister, Naomi. He is survived by wife and childhood sweetheart, Juanita Price. Together they enjoyed 58 years of marriage. He is also survived by one daughter, Mitzi Price Lorenz and husband Pete Lorenz; three grandchildren, Cameron Pinnix, Courtney Pinnix Shaffer (husband, Greg Shaffer), and Vincent Lorenz. Mr. Price is also survived by two great-grandchildren, Ryder Pinnix and Graham Shaffer.
Mr. Price began working in Monroe, NC as a machinist, moving to Greensboro in 1962 to take a job with Dixie Machine Company. He worked his way into sales with Gibbs Machine and C.E. Smith companies before opening a sales rep company with a partner, Hege-Price Associates. In 1978, Mr. Price opened his own business, Price Machine and Fabrication, Inc. and ran that successfully with his wife and daughter until he retired in 2007.
Mr. Price was a member of Southside Baptist Church for 38 years where he served as a deacon and Sunday school teacher and sang in the choir. For the past 5 years, Mr. Price has enjoyed being a member of Westover Church with his wife Juanita.
Mr. Price was an avid golfer, playing up until a few months before his death. He was really proud of a round of golf he played not too long ago, saying he “shot his age”, which was 78. He was an extraordinary man of integrity in business and in life. He loved his family and friends dearly and he will be terribly missed.
