Nelson Kent Morgan, 59, a resident of Madison passed away on Tuesday December 13, 2016 at Beacon Place. Kent was born December 6, 1957 in Guilford County, the son of the late John Earl and Margie Marie Hix Morgan.
Kent was a graduate of Ragsdale High School, the class of 1975. He was a former employee with Cooper Electric in Greensboro.
He is survived by his wife, Michele A. Morgan of the home; two sons, Joshua Charles Morgan and wife Vickie of ME, John Matthew Smith of Madison; three sisters, Connie M. Ash and husband Alfred of Kings Mountain, Sue Morgan Elliott and husband Ken of Whitsett, Victoria M. Moores and husband Robert of Asheville; one brother, John Morgan and wife Kate of Onancock, VA; two grandchildren, Henry and Peter Morgan and numerous nieces and nephews
A Service to Celebrate Kent’s Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home Sedgefield Chapel conducted by Pastor Sterling VanDerwerker. Interment will follow in Guilford Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 1:00 p.m. until service time.
