Lenita Lyman Carter

On Wednesday, September 22, 2021, Lenita Lyman Carter, 70, gained her wings and joined the Lord. She was born in Greensboro, December 17, 1950 where she lived her entire life. Her life will be celebrated at 11 AM, Monday, September 27 at Buchanan Baptist Church followed by interment in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM, Sunday, September 26 at Hanes-Lineberry N. Elm Chapel.

In her youth Lenita was an avid bowler, enjoyed the outdoors, camping and gardening. Lenita was a Christian with a passionate belief in our Lord, Jesus.

She is remembered as a devoted wife to her husband, Thomas Lee Carter, and loving mother and grandmother to her daughter, Peggy Leona (Lee) Carter and granddaughter, Jessica Leigh Wells. Also surviving are sisters, Sarah Creed and Marie Reed; brother, Fred Lyman and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death are her parents, James Haywood and Margie Leona Fuller Lyman and sister Marion Craig.
