

Lenore Ganoe Michael, 94, passed away on Sunday, November 4, 2012 at Well Spring Retirement Community. A Celebration of her Life will be held on Sunday, November 11th, 1:00 p.m. at the Richardson Auditorium at Well Spring. Officiating will be Rev. David Partington. The family will receive friends following the service.
Lenore was born on December 7, 1917 in Clearfield, PA, the daughter of Gregory Fay and Pearl McClellan Ganoe. While Mr. and Mrs. Michael were living in Silver Spring, MD, Lenore was an active member of Woodside Methodist Church and volunteered for Community Chest, and was manager of the Falkland Company. Upon their moving to Greenville, SC, she was an active member of St. Matthews Methodist Church, served as President of the Cleveland Forest Garden Club, and was active in a philanthropic educational organization.
Lenore was preceded in death by her husband, Ray B. Michael; brother, Harry F. Ganoe and sisters, Martha Bierly and Dorothy Griffin. Surviving is her daughter, Gregory Michael Dagenhart and husband Jim of Greensboro, NC; grandchildren, Ashley D. Hall of Charlotte, NC Jamie D. Grant of Myrtle Beach, SC and great granddaughter, Tatum Elise Hall; great grandson, Christopher Grant; sister, Dolores Ganoe Williams of Farmington, Conn.; nephews, Robert Drew Bierly and wife Connie of Roanoke, VA and John Scott Williams and wife Kathi of Avon, Conn.

The family wishes to express their deep appreciation to Dr. John Jenkins of the LeBauer Clinic, Karen Kaplan, the staff of Hospice and all the nurses, CNA’s and staff who loved and cared for Lenore at Well Spring.
