Mr. Crump was born May 17, 1927 in Charlotte, the son of Walter Burtis Crump and Barbara Arrowood Crump.
Lewis was employed with Royal Typewriter for 30 years and then with IBM. Following that, Lewis became owner of Lew Crump and Associates until his retirement 6 years later.
Surviving in addition to his beloved dog Princess is his wife, Dee Crump; son, Larry N. Crump and wife Janice of Greensboro; daughters, Donna Mensel and husband Robert of Stoneville, Pamela Sparks and husband Jack of Greensboro and Rhonda Kunz and husband Daniel of Angier; nieces, Barbara Kinney and husband Fred of Charlotte, Delores McIver and husband Alan of Wilmington, Cathy Horne and husband Gary of Wilmington and Brenda Morris and husband Joe of Charlotte; 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
