Lucy was born in Ararat, VA to Andrew and Leah Epperson. She married William B. Copeland in June of 1947 and together they had five children. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, four sisters, four brothers and her son Larry Samuel. She is survived by three sons, a daughter, seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Loved by all, Lucy was a wonderfully loving wife and mother, and a steadfast friend.
A lifelong Christian, Lucy gave time to her church as a volunteer for Meals on Wheels, Vacation Bible School and other children’s ministries, and in the church library.
A service will be held graveside on Saturday, March 2nd at 2:00 P.M. at Forest Lawn cemetery located at 3901 Forest Lawn drive.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in her name to the Alzheimer’s Association, alz.org.
