On November 22, 2024 God gained one of his most fervent servants and we lost our Mom, Sister, Grandma and Great Grandma, Luz H. Jimenez de Lleras. Luz was born in Canovanas, Puerto Rico on April 23, 1938. She lost her husband Luis A. Lleras of 50 years in 2010, brother Hector Jimenez in 2006 and her grandson Michael Struve in 2022. Her surviving kids and spouses, Luis (Kathy), Lucy (John), and Maria (Daniel) are all very grateful to her for all the love she gave us. She is also survived by two sisters and three brothers. We also consider part of our family those who Mom brought to God through her ministry. Mom adored her grandkids and great grandkids who called her Mamacita, Abuela or Abie. Luz worked as a Supervisor Physical and Occupational Therapist at the Auxilio Mutuo Hospital in Puerto Rico during the 1960 and 70s. She was also a Church Leader in the Seventh Day Adventist Churches in Puerto Rico and Orlando, Florida. She was one of the founders of the Association of Retired Pensioners of the Government of Puerto Rico Orlando Chapter. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in her name to the American Cancer Society, Twin Lakes Memory Care Community in Burlington NC or to the 7th Day Adventist Church missionary work.
