

Funeral services will be held Friday, October 15, 2010 at 2 p. m. at First Baptist Church Chapel, 1000 W. Friendly Avenue, Greensboro, N.C. 27401, where she was a member. Dr. Stephen Pressley, Associate Pastor, will be conducting the services. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park Cemetery, 3600 N. O. Henry Blvd., (Highway 29 N.).
As a member of First Baptist Church, Lynn participated in Sunday School, Worship Service, Training Union, Sunbeams, Girls Auxiliary, Children's' Choir and Youth Choir. She also enjoyed the activities offered through the Recreation Program, especially roller skating in the Recreation Building.
Lynn was born September 3, 1951 to Robert and Alice Stone in Greensboro. She attended Murphy Elementary School, Jackson Junior High School and Ben L. Smith High School. She was a member of the band playing the flute in each of these schools' band. In addition to playing in the band, she was Girl Scout from the second grade through the twelfth grade.
After graduating from Ben L. Smith High School, Lynn attended Montreat Anderson College, Davidson County Community College and North Carolina A&T State University. Lynn received her RN in Nursing from Davidson and her Bachelor Of Science in Nursing from NC A&T. She began her nursing career in the Emergency Room at High Point Regional Hospital, followed by Moses Cone Cardiology Department, Moses Cone Emergency Room, where she was head nurse, and rounding out her nursing career with LeBauer Cardiology until retirement. During her career, Lynn also conducted training workshops for Law Enforcement Officers, Fire Fighters and Emergency Service Personnel in several counties.
Lynn is survived by her husband Barry Levine, parents Robert and Alice Stone, brothers Robert, Jr, Mike and John Stone, and nephew Dylan Joyner Stone.
She was preceded in death by her sister Jan, maternal grandparents John and Edna Newnam, and paternal grandparents, Richard and Inez Williams.
