A memorial service will be held Friday, 11:00 a.m., at Hanes-Lineberry North Elm Chapel with Rev. Gene Dean officiating.
Marjorie was born March 16, 1931 in Calverton, NY, the daughter of Frederick Fleischman and Catherine Miller Fleischman.
Marjorie was a graduate of New Paltz University in New York and taught kindergarten for over 20 years at Mount Sinai Elementary School in Mount Sinai, NY. Marjorie enjoyed trips to Cape Cod and later traveling with her husband. Marjorie was an excellent cook and also enjoyed dining out. She enjoyed golfing and reading and will be remembered as a gentle, kind, loving soul who enjoyed spending time with her family.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Emmanuel Yris; daughter, Kathryn Slaska and husband Philip of Summerfield; son, Craig Yris of Humble, TX; brother, Fred Fleischman of Langhorne, PA; grandchildren, Philip Craig Slaska, Emily Borden (James) and Stephen Slaska (Sydney); great grandchildren, Spencer and Max Borden.
Friends will be received following the service at the funeral home.
