Marshall “Skip” Wilson Jones, Jr., 82, a resident of Jamestown passed away peacefully at the Hospice Home of High Point on Sunday February 18, 2024. He was born in Guilford County on March 14, 1941 the son of the late Marshall Wilson Jones, Sr. and Dana Harmon Jones.
Skip graduated from Guilford High School. He worked for 56 years with Gilbarco of Greensboro. He enjoyed listening to Gospel Music. Skip served in his younger years as a volunteer firefighter in Guilford County. Skip also served in the National Guard.
He is survived by his wife, Reva Mitchell Jones of the home; son, Eric Jones and Brian Williams of the home; brother-in-law, Johnny Mitchell of Randleman; sister-in-law, Barbara Mitchell Overstreet of Greensboro; furry friends, Milo and Kasey and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday February 26, 2024 at Guilford Memorial Park officiated by the Reverend Dr. Jason W. Harvey and Pastor Paul Freeman.
The family would like to give special thanks to Hospice of the Piedmont for their care of Skip and to College Place United Methodist Church for their visits and words of comfort.
