Mary Lou Lassiter Dentz, 88, a resident of Jamestown passed away on Friday March 17, 2017. She was born February 10, 1929 in Johnston County in the community of Four Oaks the daughter of Robert Arthur and Annie Ava Jones Lassiter.
Mary Lou was a graduate of Atlantic Christian College (now Barton College) in Wilson. She was a member of Jamestown Presbyterian Church.
Mary Lou was married to Robert Eugene Dentz who preceded her in death on May 28, 1981. She later married Dwight Lee Nelson who preceded her in death on August 8, 2016.
She is survived by her daughters, Jill Dentz Cutrell and husband John of Winterville, Terri Dentz Weston and husband Daniel of Bonita Springs, FL, Tracy Dentz Pekkala and Henry Hare of High Point; step-son, Lee Martin of Greensboro; sister, Dorothy Blackmon of Four Oaks and grandchildren, Robert Cutrell, Andy Cutrell and Hudson Weston.
Private family services will be held Monday. Interment will be in Guilford Memorial Park.
