Mary Alice Deaton Flippen

Mary was born on November 5, 1939 in Randolph County, the daughter of Mamon H. and Annie Sue Yates Deaton. She worked with the Baker Furniture Company until her retirement. She attended Fairview Methodist Church. She enjoyed working in the garden with her late husband Chester and going to yard sales. Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She loved watching her family grow and to be able to experience all of the activities associated with their lives. She would make time to talk and be a part of their lives. She will be deeply missed.

Mary was preceded in death by her loving husband, Chester W. Flippen in 2010, one brother, Herman Deaton and sister, Barbara Frye. Those left to cherish her memory are her two sons; Chester Ray Flippen and wife Deborah Jackson Flippen of Trinity, NC, Samuel Mamon Flippen and wife Kimberly Joyce Flippen of Denton, NC; sisters; Pauline Brown and Connie Neely of Archdale, NC, Juanita McNeil of Trinity, NC; grandchildren; Samuel Mamon Flippen Jr. and wife Nicole Cope Flippen, Stephen Gabriel Flippen and Natalie Hanes , Hannah Nicole Flippen, Deaven Brooks, Darren Taylor and wife Jennifer; great grandchildren, Grace Jenkins, Dylan Raye Brooks and Caiden Gabriel Flippen and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, 2:00 p.m. at Guilford Memorial Park with Rev. Joyce Bunn officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 6 to 8 pm at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel.
