Mary Hoskins Jenkins

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 1, 2015 at Grace United Methodist Church, 438 West Friendly Avenue, Greensboro, NC. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall.

Mary was born in Summerfield on August 7, 1918 to the late Jennie Elizabeth Hoskins and the late Benjamin Harrison Hoskins. She was a devoted caregiver to her family and friends. When she wasn’t spending time with her loved ones, you might find her knitting, reading, or working in her garden. She was an active member of Grace United Methodist Church for 68 years, where she volunteered and sang in the choir.

Mary will be remembered for her tenaciousness, her friendship and for her fun loving spirit. She is survived by her sister Margaret Hoskins Cecil, daughter Martha Jenkins Owen, daughter Nancy Rebecca Jenkins, 6 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was loved by many and will be sorely missed.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mary’s memory to Grace United Methodist Church.
