Mary Jo Sharpe Dew

Mary Jo was the daughter of Dimon H. and Elizabeth Vowel Sharpe. She loved watch the bird feeders, soap operas, work in her garden and always looked forward to having her hair done. She was an avid Elvis fan and always enjoyed spending time with her family.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She will be missed by all. Mary Jo was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Ellen Bass. Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 51 years, James Preston of the home; daughters, Pamela of Greensboro, NC, Jo Lynn Coble (Tommy) of Liberty, NC; two grandchildren, Elizabeth Varner of Greensboro, NC and Tommy “T.J.” Coble Jr. of Liberty, NC; sister, Helen Wilkes of Greensboro, NC and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, 2:00 p.m. at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel with burial to follow at Guilford Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel.
