Mrs. Mary F. Parrish

Mrs. Mary F. Parrish, 85, of Summerfield, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 17, 2013.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, 2:00 p.m., at Summerfield Baptist Temple with Pastor Rick Church officiating. Burial will follow at Westminster Gardens.

Mary was born July 3, 1927 in Greensboro, the daughter of Mark Freeman and Florence Harrelson Freeman.

Mary was a member of the Summerfield Baptist Temple and retired from Cone Mills with 35 years of service. She enjoyed crocheting and puzzles.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Parrish and her son, Jody Cook.

Surviving are her children, Robert Cook and wife Rae of Stokesdale, Barbara Radford and husband Ronald of Randleman, Ernest Cook, Jr. of Madison and Stella Smith and lifetime companion Bobby Smith of Summerfield; sister, Shirley Bray of Greensboro; 15 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren.

Friends will be received Friday, 7:00-9:00 p.m., at Hanes-Lineberry N. Elm Chapel.
