Michael Thomas "Poppy" Justice

Michael Thomas “Poppy” Justice, 65, passed away on Wednesday, September 11, 2013. Michael was born on September 29, 1947 in Greensboro, the son of Jack T. and Marie Gerald Justice. Michael was not only a proprietor in the food industry but a visionary. He held an unmatched ability to perfect perfection that will never be forgotten and he simply refused to settle. He loved fine dining and having a good time in general. He was always interested in a new trivia challenger.

Michael was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son and brother. He never met a stranger, was a friend to many, and will be deeply missed.

Michael was preceded in death by his father, Jack Justice; daughter, Elisha Lynn Justice; and brother Dan Justice. Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 46 years, Jane Crater Justice of the home; daughter, Brandi Justice and husband Derek Newell of Jamestown, NC; sons, Christopher Justice and wife Elizabeth of Simi Valley, CA and Anthony Justice and wife Yvonne of Longmont, CO; mother, Marie Ross of Greensboro, NC; brother, John Ross; grandchildren, Paris, Phoenix, and Dallas McGee, Jacob, Josh, and Madison Newell, Jada, Stone, Carmen, and Michael Justice as well as significant family friend Ray Wilson.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, Sept. 16, 11:00 a.m. at Hanes Lineberry N. Elm Chapel with Rev. Doctor Brenda Rose officiating. Burial will follow at Westminster Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Hanes Lineberry N. Elm Chapel
