

Michael Anthony Moore, 55, of Greensboro, passed away May 2, 2025 after an extended illness. He will be remembered as a devoted and supportive husband, father and son, loving grandfather and loyal brother. His life will be celebrated at 1030 AM, Saturday, May 10 at Hanes-Lineberry N. Elm Chapel followed by interment at Guilford Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM, Friday, May 9 at the funeral home.
The son of Michael Wayne Moore and Earthell Green Moore, Mike was born in Brooklyn, NY and spent his childhood in Orangeburg, SC. He moved to Kaiserslautern, Germany in 1983 where he spent two years before moving to Fayetteville, NC and graduated from E.E, Smith High School. He was employed with Lowe’s Home Improvement for several years before becoming a vendor with them for over seven years. Michael ended his career as a forklift driver with TE Connectivity in 2020 after becoming disabled. He worked hard to support his family; loving wife Shawn Sydnor Moore and two children Michaela Arriana and Evan Michael Moore.
Michael loved the outdoors and exploring the wilderness. He enjoyed fishing and was a a member of the Loyalty Riders Motorcycle Club-Greensboro Chapter. He was especially interested in history. As a dedicated father, he coached Evan in football and supported his children’s athletic goals by attending all their games.
He is survived by his parents and step-father, Vincent McNeil; wife and children; grandchildren, Jaylen Keith Locklear, Riley Jamar Locklear, Jase Anthony Locklear, Evan Michael Moore, Jr., and Emmet Wayne Moore; siblings, Tahirah Ravenell (Dwayne), Vincent Eshawn McNeil (Kateria), Kory McNeil, Jamil Thomas, Shamar Moore (Lakeisha), Omar Moore, Wadeya Moore, Tracy Hoesay Moore, and Jawann Toomer; parents-in-law, Nettie D. and Gene Jones and Marcellus and Onetha Jones; brothers-in-law, Alonzo Sydnor, David Jones, Mandela Jones (Lauren), Omari Jones and Kassiem Jones (Courtney); and sisters-in-law, Sonia Mason and Michelle Jones. Also surviving are a host of loving nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his devoted grandmother Grace Moore of Brooklyn NY.
