Mildred "Micki" P. Payne

Mildred was born on October 19, 1933 in Guilford County, the daughter of Thomas J. and Mattie Ashby Price. She worked with Ciba-Geigy Corp. and retired after 15 years of service. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church and volunteered at various nursing homes. Mildred was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend. She will be missed by all.

Mildred was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Jessie Payne. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Cindy Minter of Garner, NC; sons, Gary Payne and wife Cathy of Oak Ridge, NC, Steve Payne and wife Heidi of Seminole, FL; sister, Peggy Schofield and husband Bud of Cinnaminson, NJ; grandchildren, Patti Cuddeback, Adrianne Walker, Matia Payne and Teagan Payne; great grandchildren, Marilyn Cuddeback, Ethan Cuddeback and Paige Walker; numerous nieces and nephews and her special friends, Marie Isley and Glenda Ryan.

Funeral services will be held on Friday,11:00 a.m. at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel with burial to follow at Guilford Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel.
