Miles Elliott Brown Sr., 67, passed away on Friday December 30th 2011 a St. Joseph's Hospital. A memorial service will held on Saturday, January 7th, 2012 at 1:00 PM at Hanes Lineberry Funeral Home 515 North Elm, Greensboro, NC 27401. A visitation is to follow at the home of Johnny and Lacy Starr.
Miles was a native of Greensboro and the older of two children born to Argyle Elliott and Carr Eugene Brown. Miles graduated from Grimsley Senior High School in 1963 and attended UNC-Chapel Hill which he loved dearly. He also
served in the U.S. Army as a second lieutenant from 1965-1967.
Miles is survived by his sons, Miles E. Brown Jr., and John Carr Brown, their mother Katherine Starr Brown of Greensboro NC, and his sister, Carlette Brown Calloway and her husband Ron of Tybee Island, GA and their children Ryan and Bryan Calloway.
The family would like to thank his doctors and nurses, especially the palliative care team, for the compassion and comfort they provided.
