Ned was born on June 9, 1924, in Pembroke, VA, the son of John and Gertrude Williams. He served his county in the US Army and then worked with the Ambrose Insulation Company until his retirement. He enjoyed city league bowling with his wife. Ned was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He will be deeply missed.
Ned is survived by his wife of 46 years, Carrie Cooke Williams of the home; son, David Williams and wife Deborah of Lady Lake, FL and daughter, Deborah Allen and husband Charles of Stokesdale, NC and one brother, Aubrey Williams and wife JoAnn of Pembroke, VA.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, 2:00 p.m. at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel with Rev. Roland Shepley officiating. Burial will follow at Guilford Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Friday at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel.
