Nova J. Julian

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 28, 2011 at 1:00 pm, at Westminster Gardens Mausoleum Chapel.

Nova was born in Bertie County to the late Georgeanna and Bill Phelps. She retired from Southern Bell with thirty-two years of service as a long distance operator. She was of the Baptist faith and loved working in her yard, crocheting, antiquing, baking and watching Carolina Basketball.

Surviving are her husband, Gordon Julian of the home; sisters, Anna and husband, Johnnie Pierce, and Jessie Spruill of Windsor, NC, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers, William, Spurgeon, Claude and Whit Phelps.

The family extends a very special thanks to Dr. Neville Gates and to everyone at Clapp’s Nursing Center for all their love and care over the last three years. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association, 3800 Shamrock Drive, Charlotte, NC 28215.
