MSGT. Olen Jackson Caldwell, USAF (Ret.)

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 2, 2016, at Parkway Baptist Church, 1411 Benjamin Parkway, Greensboro, with Pastor Kevin VaLeu officiating. Interment with Military Honors will be held at Lakeview Memorial Park.

The son of the late Hovis and Kathleen Caldwell, Olen was born May 27, 1939, in Charlotte, NC. He was a proud military veteran having served in Vietnam along with a 22 ½ year of outstanding service in United States Air Force. He was an avid Nascar fan and fortunate enough to participate in the Richard Petty Driving Experience. He was also at 32nd Degree Mason and a member of Parkway Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, Olen was preceded in death by his brother, Lester Caldwell. He is survived by his wife Sarah Caldwell; children, Wanda Fields and husband Jeff of Pioneer, OH, Greg Caldwell and his wife Pam of Jonesville, LA, Timothy Caldwell of Delta, OH; step sons, Don Carrico of Ocala, FL, Wes Barfield and wife Pam of Apex, NC; step daughter, Dainese Keever of Greensboro; brother, Robert Caldwell and wife Jeanette of Catawba, NC. His 15 grandchildren loved his ability to put a smile on their face and his unconditional love and his 19 great grandchildren will have nothing but fond memories of him.

The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m., at Hanes Lineberry North Elm Chapel, 515 North Elm Street.
