

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 8, at First Baptist Church, in the chapel with Dr. Steve Pressley and Reverend Alan Sherouse officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Robinson was born March 22, 1913, in Guilford County to the late Thomas D. and Janie Williams Clayton. She graduated from Summerfield High School and worked for Greensboro Ford for over 40 years. Leta was a loving and caring wife, mother, sister and a dear friend to many. Her kindness and gentle spirit were an inspiration to all who know her. A true southern lady, she will be greatly missed.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Robinson was preceded in death by her husband, whom she married in 1935, Max S. Robinson; daughter, Caryl Jane Robinson; brothers, William A. Clayton, Carl T. Clayton, Michael P. Clayton and her sister, Irma C. Hagy. She is survived by her son, James R. Robinson; grandson, Samuel C. Robinson of Fuquay Varina; step-granchildren, Jessica Corpening and Greg King; sisters, Juanita C. Howerton and husband Clyde of Oak Ridge, Cynthia C. Curley of Boston, MA, Carolyn C. Brown of Oak Ridge and many nephews, nieces and special friends.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Sunday, December 7, at Hanes Lineberry North Elm Street Chapel.
The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of Whitestone, the Masonic and Eastern Star Home for their care and compassion given to Mrs. Robinson while in their care and also a special thanks to the Order of the Eastern Star #355 and other lodges for the many parties and special attention over the years.
