Mrs. Pat Ann McCaskill Andrews Self

A celebration of Pat’s life will be held at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home Vanstory Chapel. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

Pat was the daughter of James Stanley and Irene Oliver McCaskill. She graduated from Sumner High School and earned a Certified Nursing Assistant degree from Guilford Technical Institute. She worked as a CNA for many years. Pat was a member of Sumner Baptist Church where she taught in the nursery school and was a member of the Bussing Buddies. She was also active with the Gibsonville Senior Citizens where she participated with the Senior Citizens Singing Group. She enjoyed crocheting and making crafts to give to residents at hospitals and nursing homes. Mrs. Self was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, David Victor Andrews, their son, Perry Allen Andrews, and her second husband, James Walter Self, Jr.

Mrs. Self is survived by her daughter, Carol Andrews Wooten and husband, Gary of Burlington, son, Vic Andrews and wife, Kathy of Gibsonville, brother, Jimmy McCaskill and wife, Lillian, sister, Joyce Ensley and husband, Buddy of Greensboro. She was MawMaw Pat to grandchildren; Meredith Andrews Wooten of Burlington, Kenneth Andrews and wife, Shelby of Gibsonville, great-grandchildren; Brandon Lee Wooten of Burlington, and David and Damian Andrews of Gibsonville.
