

Paul Robert Wilson, 73, of Asheboro, NC went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, February 12, 2022. He is survived by his loving wife Sharon Jordan Wilson, his four daughters Joli (Kris) Finsel, Jamie (Neal) Collett, Jessica (Matt) Stone, and Jaclyn (Andrew) Wilson, his four stepchildren Don (Melody) Rottmann, Erik (Kelly) Rottmann, Katrina (Rob) Klingensmith, and Luke (Yu Rim) Rottmann, and his 18 grandchildren and 2 great grandchilden. He is survived by his former wife Rhonda Lamb. He is also survived by his brother Ken (Melba) Wilson, his sister Kathy (Robert-deceased) Mims, his half-sister Gail (Randall) Warburton and his half-brother Carrol (Barb) Wilson. Paul was preceded in death by his mother Dessie Cortright, his father Glenn Cortright, his birth father Maynard Wilson and stepmother Iris Wilson.
Paul was a kind and gentle soul who adored his family and touched the hearts of many friends who were lucky enough to have known him. He loved doing for others and was always there for anyone who needed him. He enjoyed camping with his family, fixing up antique cars, and tinkering with anything he could get his hands on. Paul never knew a stranger. He was warm, kind, and loved to laugh. He always had the best advice on anything from fixing a car, to home improvement projects, or life advice. He was notorious for his solutions to every problem. Paul devoted his life to loving and taking care of his family and he will be greatly missed.
Paul was a proud veteran, serving his country in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War. He loved his country and was proud to be a part of the Armed Forces.
Paul left behind a legacy of kindness and love through his ever-constant love and devotion to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was the example of how God wants His people to be and his spirit will live on through the love he instilled in his children and grandchildren.
Services will be held at Ebeneezer Lutheran Church, 310 Tremont Drive, Greensboro, NC 27403 on
February 26, 2022 at 3 pm.
