Randy Morgan, son of the late Sandy and Geneva Morgan, was born on July 25, 1957, in Rowland, NC. He departed this life on Thursday, November 30, 2023, at Moses Cone Hospital. He was a member of Friendly Avenue Church of Christ for the past 40 years, where he also served as an Elder.
Anyone Randy encountered was touched by his warmth. He was a charmer. He made everybody feel like they were important. He was always totally focused on the person he was talking to, listening to every word so they felt like they mattered. Randy’s smile was contagious. Even until the end Randy wasn’t thinking about himself and didn’t want anyone to worry about him. He still wanted to help and take care of others. Randy was one of the most amazing men anyone could ever meet. He was a man of character every day. He would spread joy in the lives of everyone who knew him. Now he will be showered with joy and peace. He truly will be missed by many.
Randy loved spending time with his family, and he loved fishing! He leaves to cherish his memories his wife Vonda Morgan; son Micheal (Carmen) Morgan; daughter Katherine Morgan who he called Bunny; four grandchildren: Aiden, Jaiden, Seth, and Bryse; brother James Morgan, sisters Linda Morgan (Eric-nephew), Sandra Morgan (Peach-niece), Darlene Morgan; aunts who he stayed with during the summer, Betty Morgan (Boot), Katie Manning (Bear), Amy Sesson (Frog), Rietta Mae Turner (Rat) and Hennie Troy; uncle John Bee, and a host of aunts, uncles, nephews, and cousins.
