My best memories of Randy is how he and Vonda were always a team.  Loved their smiles.  You knew you were in the presence of love!

There are no words that can go deep enough to express the sadness felt regarding the loss of my Brotha in Christ, Randy. I'm going to truly miss his presence. His big welcoming smile, his “I’m glad to see you Sis” hugs and let’s not forget that swag. He and Vonda were a beautiful model of what a marriage is and could be.  What a blessing to have known him.

I’m so glad I was able to work with and get to know Randy. He had the best smile and I will forever remember him laughing to tears many times.  Those were such good times for our work family. Randy made a lasting impression on a lot of folks.

Randy was a ROCK, a true friend, who care about everyone. I worked many years with Randy at P&G and he was a joy to be with. He always had a positive outlook and thought the best of everyone. Fishing was his love. I will miss you Randy, and I truly pray I meet you again in heaven where I hope to see you fishing with all your buddies and having the best of times. May God grant your wife and children Peace, Love and Happiness at this difficult time. Rest in peace my friend.

I love you Mr Randy. The last thing you said to me about two weeks ago, and always said to me was how proud you were and that I was doing a great job with Meison. You couldn’t believe how big he was getting. Thank you for the times you and Mrs Vonda came to pick me up for church when I didn’t have a car. Thank you so much for all of your encouragement  and love you showed my family and I. Thank you for being a true man of The Lord. Thank you to you and Mrs Vonda for being  a great example of love and marriage. I send My condolences, hugs and love to your whole family.  You are missed. ❤️

Randy Morgan was the most caring person that I have met in my lifetime. I will always remember how we laughed and joked on night shift at P&G. His obituary embodied the essence of  the man we knew and referred to as stump.  I remember when Randy asked me about my last name and we discovered that he knew my family in Plymouth,NC. He told me so many hilarious stories that I wanted to meet “The Brooks” in Plymouth. In 2019, I finally had the opportunity to meet my fathers side of the family at a family reunion. It was a beautiful gathering and I owe it all to Randy.  Randy , Vonda and Michael drove from Greensboro to attend church with me at the Collinsville Church of Christ were I became a member in the late 1990’s.  I felt so proud that someone thought enough of me to drive over an hour to join me and my mother for Praise and worship then dinner.  Randy was the voice of reason in the midst of a storm. Every so often I had to listen to fish tales from Randy, Brian Moore and James Grogan. They may have caught one fish in three years, but they developed a close fishnet friendship. When I heard of his passing I was stunned, but I was not sad because I know to be absent in body is to be present with the Lord.  I will see you later Randy, well done.

My deepest condolences Vonda and family. Mr Randy was such a joyful person not only to know but to be around. From the moment my family moved to NC there's not a time I don't remember Mr Randy. My heart dropped when I heard the news but I know he is rejoicing and spreading that Randy smile up above.

Vonda and family,  we are so very sorry to learn of Randy's transition to his heavenly home.  He was a very fine and caring man.  He loved you all so very much! I share in the family’s grief for the loss on Earth of a wonderful Christian Brother Randy Morgan, but look forward to being United with him and all believers in God’s only begotten Son for eternity with the Lord Jesus Christ.  I am very thankful to the Lord for the encouragement that brother Randy Morgan gave me.  When I moved to Greensboro, brother Morgan gave me a warm welcome to the Friendly Avenue Church of Christ.  When I became very sick, brother Randy Morgan  came with a group of elders to visit me in my apartment home and to pray for healing in Jesus for me.  Brother Morgan read the related scripture to us reminding us that healing is in Jesus.  He led us in a beautiful prayer and even anointed my head with oil as referenced in the scripture.  I regularly pray for all members of the Friendly Avenue Church of Christ, but when I texted Brother Morgan that I was praying specifically for him after hearing that he had been hospitalized at the beach, he replied in a text to let me know that he valued my prayer, once again encouraging me in my love of the Lord Jesus Christ and His followers.  My love now goes out especially to Vonda and the other earthly and spiritual family members of Randy Morgan.

I am honored to have known you as my God father and and stable fixture in my life for my entire life up until now, you were one of the kindest, most generous man that I have known, you most certainly will be missed and can never be replaced. I am so grateful that I was able to get to see that smile and get those last few encouraging words just a day before it would be your last. Until I see you again I love you and I will hold my memories close of you.

 My condolence to you and the family. Randy was one of the nicest people I have ever known. It doesn't seem like 28 years ago, but I remember it like yesterday how he took me under his wing from day one. We had some great times together at work and outside of work. I know he loved his family, fishing and his church. Based on his faith, I know every day will be a Sunday for him!

Randy was more than a brother and more than an elder.  He truly was a gift from God.  His spirit always gave such a positive energy, even  when visiting, he made our family feel like "we were home".  The support and encouragement he shared when we would make our "annual visits" will never be forgotten.  To say he will be missed is more than an understatement.  

To Vonda, his children, his family, and the Friendly Avenue Church of Christ, we are praying for you over this challenging loss.  May God's Spirit provide comfort to each of your spirits.  It's hard when you lose someone you love; it will take some time to recover and move forward.  But hold onto the wonderful memories of Randy as we will.  He is truly an example of a child of God, a follower of God and a leader for God.

Randy was a one of a kind, go to guy.  Everyone loved Randy and Vonda and they spread cheer where ever they went.  I am most grateful for the influence and example he was for our family.  He showed us how to serve others and how to encourage everyone to bring out their best.  Our girls were fortunate to have his influence on their lives in their formative years.  He loved the teens dearly in their good and bad times.  He was always willing to listen patiently followed by one of the best bear hugs ever.  If we all could learn to smile and hug like Randy this world would be a better place.  Vonda, Michael, and Katie our hearts ache for your loss and you remain in our prayers.

This picture was taken October  1997. Randy caught the first striper ever taken on my boat. He was so happy catching this fish. We loved our time on the water together. I will miss my dear friend.
