Mr. Ray Truitt, 73, a resident of High Point passed away on Friday March 11, 2016 at High Point Regional Hospital. Ray was born January 24, 1943 in Clay County, the son of Elbert Columbus and Texie Ellen DeHart Truitt.
Ray was retired from Harris-Covington Mills in High Point and he was a member of Jamestown Church of God.
Ray was married to Mary Ann Kellam Truitt who preceded him in death on April 10, 2015. He was also preceded in death by his son, Timothy Ray Truitt; his parents and sisters, Louise T. Bumgardner, Edna Mae T. Anderson and Betty Jean Mashburn.
Surviving are his daughter, Lisa Truitt Hogue and husband Chad of the home; grandchildren, Ashely Truitt, Christina Truitt, Matthew, Jacob and Isiah Hogue and great granddaughter, Raeleigh Keeney.
A Celebration of Life Service for Ray will be held 6:00 p.m. Wednesday at Jamestown Church of God conducted by Pastor Tony Cruthis. The family will receive friends at the church from 5:00 p.m. until service time. Ray’s wishes were to be cremated and be interred beside of his wife.
