Reece Coble, age 82, of Jamestown, North Carolina, son of Frank and Annie Coble born July 21, 1942, passed away peacefully while in High Point Hospital on December 23, 2024. Reece was a fun-loving individual who loved nothing more than to get a good joke on someone. Reece was a devout Methodist and a Mason, who was very proud of his Masonry work and his fraternal “Brothers”. He was an avid Nascar fan and before retiring his favorite drivers were Harry Gant and Kevin Harvick. Reece served proudly in the United States Army and was especially proud of his military career serving in Vietnam and the fact 100 men from his unit served and all 100 men came home unharmed, he said, “I served with the best 100 men anyone ever knew”; and was especially proud of his Special Forces unit, having over 1040 jumps.
Reece also served 28 years with the Guilford County Sheriff’s Dept. under numerous administrations. Law Enforcement was in his blood and never to be forgotten or taken “lightly”.
He was a good father and a beloved husband, a mentor and friend to all, a good protector, provider and a soul mate. Reece leaves behind a loving wife of 36 years, daughter Melanie Paschal (Allan), one grandchild, two nieces, two sister in-laws and numerous cousins and friends. He shall be missed dearly.
May you rest in peace, Babe!
Hanes-Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel is honored to serve the Coble Family.
