Richard Paul White, aged 90, passed away on December 19, 2025. Born on January 10, 1935, in Greensboro, North Carolina, Richard lived a life marked by dedication and service. He was a resident of McLeansville, North Carolina.
Richard graduated from Greensboro Senior High School. He furthered his education at Guilford College and completed his studies at Morris Dobbs Business School.
His career began with service as a Lance Corporal in the United States Marine Corps Reserves. Following his military service, Richard pursued a career in sales, retiring from Gerber Products Company. Richard was a member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church.
Mr. White is survived by his wife, Dean P. White; daughters, Nancy W. Holloway, Suzanne Scammell (Derek); grandchildren, Andrew and Ian Scammell, Courtney King and Rachel Sellers and great grandchildren, Samuel, Nora and Peter King and Arlo Sellers.
A graveside service with Military Honors will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, January 7 at Westminster Gardens Cemetery, 3601 Whitehurst Road, Greensboro. Mr. White will lie in state Tuesday, January 6 from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm at Hanes Lineberry North Elm Chapel, 515 North Elm Street, Greensboro, for those who wish to come to pay their respects.
The family expresses their heartfelt gratitude for the exceptional care provided by Dad's hospice care team and the staff at Beacon Place.
